 Organizing in a southern red state isn’t for the faint of heart and while our state senators are pretty firmly MAGA red, we try to focus on local races-JP, mayor, city council, school board, library board. We encourage people to apply for panel positions with the city, to volunteer in the community and to be vocal in social media posts. My lil pot stirring heart is full when the comment section of the local news station is full of progressive supporters taking down MAGA commenters. It’s all important!
